Just done the dreaded school shoe shopping and managed to get two pairs of girls' shoes, exactly the same ones as last year, for £50 less!

Always a relief that, well done.
That is good, well done.
Ruddy 'eck!

I don't think that I've ever paid more than twenty quid for a pair of shoes!

Cheap kids' shoes are all clumpy and just don't last. The girls' shoes will last all year but thing 2's shoes won't.
Children would be so much cheaper if their feet didn't grow so quickly.:-)

Glad you found a bargain.
Shoes seem to figure large in Sherrardk's life ;-)

Do you remember those old X-ray machines shoe shops used to have ?

You will have to be quite old if you do.

But they certainly ensured a good fit, and kids were more easily persuaded to try shoes on since they got a peep too.
You were done over last year then.

My word - I do seem to keep on about shoes (they are the bane of my life - expensive to buy, filling up flipping wooden baskets everywhere, then thing 1 puts 'collections' of things in the bloody boxes).
