'Google' (apart from being the name of a software company, and of the search engine they offer) is largely meaningless here.

Google makes the Android operating system. They also make the Chrome browser you're using. There's no such browser as 'Google', so you can't get rid of it. The 'Google' app on your phone is simply a shortcut to a full suite of apps provided by Google, which include a dedicated search page (but is still linked to Chrome anyway), the Chrome browser itself, Youtube (which is owned by Google), Google Maps, etc.

So you can't 'get rid of Google'. Try installing an anti-malware solution instead:

I get some kind of Google screen come up on my tablet, asking me to start something or other. Has to be some kind of unwanted and unrequested app. Very annoying to have to swear at it and close it each time. Get sick of the antics of those responsible.
