How Can A Man Be A Lesbian?

Can someone please explain that to me? This whole gender issue is becoming more and more confusing.

LGBT campaign group Stonewall is under fire from within its own quarter, with over 100 lesbian campaigners objecting to its support for radical transsexual ideas.

Lesbian Rights Alliance (LRA) published an open letter decrying the idea that men can become women and wrote that Stonewall backs the concept of male-bodied people being lesbian, refusing to allow any debate on the issue.

Additionally, the government has launched a consultation on the Gender Recognition Act which could see safeguards for legally changing sex removed and Theresa May has indicated her support for ‘self-declaration’ – where people may legally change sex simply by announcing they are of the opposite gender.

Incidentally, London Mayor Sadiq Khan is backing the idea of gender-neutral toilets which critics say will remove a safe space for women and girls. Not sure the ladies in burqas will be too pleased with the idea either.

I think this is what commonly happens in times of social change. There is a lot of public discussion/debate/disagreement/hot air about where the change is going, what it means, how good/dreadful/unnecessary it all is and so on. I recall similar when the pill first became available and when "women's lib" hit the headlines. Most of the people for whom the change matters quietly shove along achieving the change in their own lives. Public debate supports this but its the quiet majority who will eventually carve out their new reality. Its a bit like "say not the struggle naught availeth"

In the meantime gender neutral toilets are not similar in design to current toilets. They are individual rooms with toilet and sink, much safer and more private than the traditional toilet block.

I agree Maydup and are already in use in many places like cafes where there is not room to have both a ladies and a gents.....and of course many loos for people with disabilities have long been gender neutral.

I bought a she-wee but its only safe to use for me to use in the shower cos my hands reek otherwise = useless gadget!

The loos in most homes are used by relatives or friends...not strangers. No thanks , I dont want to use a gender neutral toilet.

I'm happy to use gender-neutral loos. I do at home, at work, my dentist's practice etc. What's the problem?
If they put them in London theatres we might get to have a wee before the second half starts.
