My mouth is dry and I have a nasty taste which I really can't describe. I am certainly under stress at present as packing to move house and with a disabled husband that is not easy. I'm also experiencing a lot of wind. I don't think its dental as have been fairly recently. Have had it a few weeks now, is a trip to the GP in order or shall just wait and see. Feeling ok generally.

Your symptom is commonly caused by anxiety and stress.
There ar some medical conditions which cause this, but in my opinion, I would make your move and then reassess the situation.
Are you well hydrated?
I suggest you try hot peppermint tea - it is pleasantly refreshing.
It will help your digestion and could ease your wind which might help with the dry mouth.
There are vitamins or minerals that can go this when you take more than you need or are severely deficient in which leave you with a nasty gritty and metallic taste.

Are there any vits or minerals that you’re overdoing or underdoing?
Stress does it to me too, mainly because when I am stressed I don't look after myself so well. Peppermint tea does help but for wind and bloating make it with two Peppermint teabags and one fennel and brew it for at least 5 minutes ideally for ten. Use the brewing time to sit quietly and just try to still your thoughts. It got me through Dave's final illness just that little brew and chill space a couple of times a day. Good luck with the move, and be happy in your new home
