New guy to intensify talks. Well, it could hardly get any less intense than lazy Davies. But isn't it all leaving it a bit late.

//New Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab vows to 'intensify' talks//

Otherwise known as // May not doing her job properly and is under pressure so someone else has been drafted in that allegedly knows their ass from their elbow//
I gather that Davies was prevented from handling direct talks, because they were handed over to civil servants (who we now know were a subversive alternative to the Brexit dept. - not sure where I read it) but it was one of the reasons behind his resignation.
Fabulous, he's had one constructive meeting, he'll save us all .
Its quite clear that the biggest subversive element aimed at preventing a proper Brexit was Mrs May herself. It is now obvious that her game plan was to obfuscate for as long as possible and then bounce her Cabinet into backing a totally unsuitable policy which would see the UK as a vassal state of the EU.

Thanks to MPs the much lauded "Chequers Agreement" (which was not an agreement at all) is likely to be dead in the water. Hopefully when Mr Raab eventually presents the revised Chequers plan to the EU it will be rejected out of hand. We can then crack on and prepare for a proper exit with no so-called "deal". The UK can then revert to being a proper independent nation instead of a dominion of the Brussels empire.
Quite, New Judge. (You won't believe how much I enjoyed typing that!)
intense here yeah is - - an hour or two
Blindingly obviouse what May’s intention was to anyone with a mediocum of political astuteness. A back stabbing femme fatale.
isnt it depressing to read all this:
"no man is an island" but ( John Donne)
oops sorry mis-spoke there - it needs no negative,

"Britain is an island" ....... ho hum, lets see what turns out ....

The Daily Brexit thread - how I love them
But the EU are also preparing for a no deal.

We should have been doing that for some time. No deal is a possibility and if that happens no amount of head in sand and *** in the air will change it.

Oh and Davis wasn’t allowed to actually do much of any ‘negotiating.

But how much of a leave or remain man is he?
Brexit, what's that?.
Oh Gawd! He's woken up! :-)
Well, gulliver, it’s a situation brought about by some people who wanted to wrest power away from the Tyrannical EU despite not one of them being able to give one example of how the EU affected their daily lives. You’ll now find them complaining bitterly about what a terrible job the Govt are making of it. This is the Govt who they’ve trusted with all our affairs once we leave.

There. I think that sums it up nicely.
The fact you can’t see how the EU effects daily lives just goes to show how pervasive it is.
Oh. And I forgot.....they’re all in denial.
I'm not in denial. I expected a stitch up - and that's exactly what we're getting.
Who's in denial ZM?

All I see is a lot of angry people who would happily lynch (figuratively speaking of course) May at the moment
