On the other hand, they've been supported by 36 Jewish organisations around the world.
Not sure what you are getting at?

Is it that Hodging is behaving oddly for her tirade against the party leader?
Or the party for not adopting someone elses definition of anti semitism?

Hodge if she swore at Corbyn deserves to be disciplined.
Whatever definition the Labour Party adopts is up to them. They mostly follow the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance‘s definition, but do not include 4 examples. The UK as a country has signed up to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, but individual members not automatically so to the definition.
Labour might want its own definition because it might consider the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition as too benevolent to Israel (not to Jews), and that hinder free speech about Israel.

For example, the AOG post below would be the Anti-Semitic under IHRA definition, but not under Labour’s definition.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Allowance definition of Anti-Semitism is:

// Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities. //

Labour signed up to the definition two years ago when it was first published. The Conservatives also adopted the definition at the same time.

Not part of the definition, but for guidance are 11 examples. The Labour Party HAS adpoted the definition, but only cite 7 of the examples. The 4 missing examples are mainly about criticism of Israel the country, not of Jewish people.
Jeez, got one on there then Gromit?
Ymb,
The link was incorrect.
I answered the allegation in the report that Labour had not adopted the definition. But then I learned that they had, so posted a correction.
Fair enough, my post was in jest ! Just I lost the will to keep reading it
