thanks woof - the wares in the checkout came up in sterling then changed to B1157 - with a vertical line through the B. I just wondered -

perhaps your computer thinks you're in Bangkok and converted accordingly? But if they converted HK$ into Baht and then into sterling, you'd be paying two lots of conversion fees.
