Having a chat with friends last night and I mentioned that the elephant was the symbol for a zoo on ordnance survey maps. I was surprised to find that none of them had known that. Now when I returned home I find I only have one OS map left in my possession and it doesn't have a zoo on it. So, was I imagining it or what?
