oh, okay. No chance, I would have thought, otherwise what would they have given him if they'd won, a dukedom? From memory the cricket team that won the Ashes about 10 years ago all got MBEs but the captain and manager got OBEs. Manager of a team that didn't go all the way might just get an MBE, but I would have thought not, not this time.

I wouldn't go as far a knighthood but certainly a high honour such as the George Medal or George Cross.

Giving awards to actors and sports people is ludicrous. They do what they want to do with their lives and get paid well for doing it and then expect to be offered a little something from the honour system.
