During England matches, including this World Cup, I often hear fans with musical instruments playing what sounds like the Earth Wind & Fire number September. Why that song?

It is one of the "chants" that have been conjured up for this World cup Dee. The EW&F tune to September is used by a number of football club's fans to encourage their team or to disparage the opposition. They have just put new words to it for this competition.

Woaah, England are in Russia,
Woaah, drinking all the vodka,
Woaah, England’s going all the waaaay.""


To the tune "September". Haha.
