Cillit Bang television advertisements have been presented by "Barry Scott", a brashly enthusiastic character played by Neil Burgess, who claims that Cillit Bang can remove limescale, rust and ground in dirt. In one advert, he places a copper plated one penny coin in Cillit Bang to demonstrate the product's cleaning ability to remove staining.
Used a couple of their products and found them very efficient.
A quick look at reviews for Cillit Bang products, on sites such as Amazon, suggest that they're pretty good at doing what they claim to do. (They're typically awarded an average of 4 stars out of 5).

Cillit Bang is made by Reckitt Benckiser, who make a wide range of cleaning products (including Brasso, Vanish and Calgon), as well as healthcare products (such as Gaviscon, Strepsils, Lemsip and Nurofen).

Barry Scott is a fictional character, played by the actor Neil Burgess.

Me, in my sad old way, thought he was a real bloke, floggin' his own stuff, now I know better and for my penance, I will try out some of the actual product, seeing as it gets good reviews - aint I a twit?...no need to agree so quickly!...big wavy smile to Mamya and All Note to AB Editor, don't know how you've managed it, but I can now use AB without any hitches...so far, so Many Thanks for that.
Big smile and wave back at ya x
Hi woodelf, have you tried the Neapolitan sandwiches yet? I'm still eating one a day, they are just the right size for a treat.
Cillit Bang is fine but read the instructions before you use it. Ruined my bathroom ceramic floor tiles - an expensive lesson.
