Whats the difference between Bicarbonate of soda, baking soda & baking powder.
I've heard that if it's sprinkled on the soil before watering it will make my growing tomatoes taste sweeter.

Something like this.... http://theplantguide.net/2017/06/26/sweet-tomatoes-baking-soda-soil-trick/ If you want to experiment, get a big (1 kilo) bag of sodium bicarbonate online for about £4.....

Bicarbonate of soda and baking soda are the same thing. Its called bicarb in the UK and baking soda in the US. Baking powder is a mixture of bicarb (alkali) and cream of tartar (acid) plus a filler to keep it dry. When it gets wet the acid makes the bicarb work faster and more completely. I don't think any of them will sweeten tomatoes. Use a good tomato fertiliser.
