I have bought my Player, transferred some songs onto it, but I can't get it off 'Settings' to make it play the songs!

If I leave it, it flashes from Radio to Pictures, and other functions, I just want it to play the tracks please.

Any ideas?

OK, I'm really confused now!

When I plug the player into my PC, it shows that the songs I have transferred are on the player, but when I unplug it and ask it to play the songs, it only says it has two songs, neither of which are songs I put on there!!!

Help!!!!!
Okay try this.
1. Plug it into the computer
2. Go to My PC and see what it's described as something like E:/ Phillips storage or whatever.
3. click on that and open it.
4. Go to where your songs are on your computer and copy them.
5. Paste them onto your Phillips device and wait for them to copy over.
6. now try to play them.
Keep pressing the 'back' button (which looks a bit like this http://www.yim778.com/data/out/230/1337651.png ) to get back to the previous screens.
Crossed posts. (My answer above was in reply to your original post).
This isn't a personal slight, andy, but I had a problem with an old phone that might be relevant. If I'm wrong then tell me where to go!

If the files are not in the right format for the player, they will appear on the hard drive (In Windows Explorer), but the music player itself won't recognise the files. Mine had to be .mp3 format, nd not Windows Media Audio (.wma) format.

Question Author
No problem Stephen - the player is an MP4 Player, and the files are MP4's, so there is not conflict of format that I can see.
Question Author
OK - a step forward -

I can find the songs on the Player, but when I try and play them, is says File Format not supported.

The files are MP4 files - what am I doing wrong please?
MP4 is a container format, so could contain audio/video encoded in a format not recognisable to an individual "MP4 Player".

Have you tried loading some MP3 files? MP3 is an audio encoding standard so should be readable by any and all MP3 or MP4 player.
mp4 is mostly video file you can convert them to mp3

there are many other converters, but you get the idea
