Yes, slice and freeze.

Why do people need to water their lawns anyway? They'll soon turn green again when it rains - just in time for Wimbledon probably.

By then the veg patch has died Jo.
I use a watering can for my veg.
I use cold brisket just like roast beef - sandwiches or warm in some gravy for a roast dinner.

I'll make broth with the stock I cooked the meat in.

That sandwich sounds great, I'm feeling hungry all of a sudden.
Continually filling watering cans is a pain, not to mention lugging them to the plants.
