Self Hire Carpet Cleaners

Can anyone recommend any self hire carpet cleaners? I have used Rug Doctor in the past but I find them rather cumbersome. I would prefer one with a hose but don't know how effective they are.

Thanks. I saw that, I was just wondering how effective the Karcher hire out ones are (among others)

I think HSS may be able to rent out a karcher cleaner. Maybe give the local barch a call - they could probably advise you on the best (no pun intended ) solution?

Sorry, thanks - that is what I wa referring to - the Karcher ones rented out by HSS. Just wondered what they or other brands are like as I`m not mad on Rug Doctor

We have a George carpet cleaner (part of the numatic range .... the ones where they all have names like Henry, Charles, etc).
I can vouch that it is a very good carpet cleaner, but I don't know where you'd hire one from sorry :(
