Who will be on the tarmac, [ sorry red carpet] to meet him when airforce one lands,The Queen , May, Farage , or Johnson?.
You do not have to be an ‘ultra liberal’ to find Trump beyond the pale. I give you George Dubya ‘that was some weird ***’ Bush and his wife for two. The former now, thanks to Trump, appearing tulle some sort of kaftan-wearing yoghurt crunching avant-gardist by comparison. I fully understand why some Americans plumped for Trump. What’s less understandable are the motives of his cheerleaders abroad. ‘America first’ is very bad news for the rest of the free world as we’re now seeing.
hi Itchie
ya could have told....
first speech to Poland where the gullible Poles were chanting "Polant! Polant!" [ the final d is a tee ] trump was saying
"I tell you waaaat - I am gonna withdraw from NATO and you gonna pay! It will be beautiful"
he waited for adulation and applause ..... and there was none

and the speech went on like that ( america first blah blah blah) space for more applause and idiotic adulation and there was none
(not silence they went on yelling polant! polant! )

it is depressing that the person who controls the most powerful country in the world only turns his brain on when people take to the streets

Ok his brain is in his pelvis and it gets turned on at regular intervals - - - anyway you know what I mean
very bad news for the rest of the world agreed

the steel workers there are seeking a variation on the steel tariff - wrong kind of steel has been banned apparently and they need it
" The "Wall"? He was frustrated by Congress on its funding.

His other campaign promise - the so-called "Muslim ban" - was frustrated by activist judges."
Seeing as he was running for President of the United States, shouldn't he have realised this would happen and therefore not make promises he couldn't fulfil?
The world does not need a naive President.

On TV , Trumps wife seen boarding a plane ,wearing a jacket saying ,
" I don't care do you" after visiting immigrant child detention centre!.
Some one should have told her, or is it rubbing off , from Hubby?
Naive or not he can turn around to the American people and say with sincerity that he would have done what he said he would but those pesky liberals, you know the ones who want the US to go into recession and for NK to send nukes over, blocked him for no good reason every time... Isn’t it about time we went them a message, no more?

I can see that being his rallying cry for the next term.

I don’t much like Trump. He is a childish bully but the “America First” call is very appealing. If we had someone here in charge who put the UK first it would be appreciated I’m sure.

Jeremy Corbyn is now saying , Theresa should put the stop on his visit due to his imposed Tarrifs?
It all depends on how they interpret "America first". Working with others to the benefit of America and the country concerned must be better than applying sanctions. It's obvious the countries affected would retaliate with same, will the people of America still think he's putting America first when thousands start losing their jobs because of the retaliatory sanctions?
Question Author
Think its called " shooting oneself in the foot"
Or blowing ones brains out in your case, gully.
Question Author
Well you would not have any brains to blow out in your case, would you Spicecrack. maybe change your name to Spacebrain.
It would be almost impossible not to invite Trump at all but it is good to hear that there will be no state visit. He must be hopping mad that he won't travel in a carriage up the mall. Good. (He'll probably say afterwards that it was the greatest state visit ever.) But bearing in mind how opposed he is to some of the most important principles that our countries are both founded on, our relationship with him should be more like detante than partnership.
Trump's a bit busy presently.

Can't somebody int the State Department text May to say he can't make it?
Maybe Tess could invite Macron over instead. He's not your Trump-style pussy-grabber, but he does like the older woman.
