Sugar On Pizza

We sometimes have a pizza delivered if we’re too knackered to cook. Recently the vegetarian pizza has tasted sweet - do pizza houses sprinkle sugar on them to keep the kiddies coming back?

More likely if you don't normally eat a lot of sweet things then the sweetness of foods stands out more.
As do the artificial or chemical flavours of some things.
