OMG, SIL has just told us she is coming to stay for 2 weeks . EEEK ! I will have to behave and become meek and mild for a fortnight.

I suggest you don't answer any phone calls tomorrow morning! If it's anyone that matters you can do 1471 or they will leave a message.

Another thing to do is, if they call at the house, answer the door with your coat on and say you are just going out, I've done that before!

Jj, if you can't stand her it doesn't matter if you're slightly brusque and she never speaks to you again. Just say you have plans for that day and evening and that you hope she enjoys her time in Belfast, goodbye!

thanks for your advice - I do have an appointment for podiatrist but you know what she would say - oh go on for your appointment - we'll be ok here. so I can't even say that to her.
