Seems the police were not interested but still seems OTT surely an MP has to accept critism especially if said MP is going agains the wishes of their party and their constituents?

Without seeing the full email, it is impossible to assess whether it was abusive in tone or not.
Local MPs must be used to constituents disagreeing with them. If it was just a disagreement then I don’t think an MP would block the email address and report it to the police. But I suppose it is possible, many MPs have an unjustified sense of their own importance.
Yup. My MP declines to be contacted by email. If a constituent wants to contact them it has to be by snail mail or in person. I have no idea why.
