We are on holiday in France. I can receive emails but cannot send them.
This happens every year when we go away. I type them, click send and they vanish, never to be seen again. This is on my Apple iPad.
Also my phone is not working. Every call I try to make it say not on network.
This is on my Samsung Galaxy.
Has anyone any ideas please.

Thank you Mamya.
Is it an iPad with a SIM card or just WiFi?

What network has your phone picked up in France / have you had a text saying ‘welcome to X. Calls will cost x......’?
Your mobile service supplier should have made arrangements with foriegn mobile suppliers to allow you to roam. Some suppliers contracts you have to arrange roaming on your mobile account. Did you check this with them before you went ?
I don’t think that’s been the case for some considerable time now, OG. Roaming charges within the EU were dropped last year.
are you certain they aren't being received?
Question Author
Just ipad with wifi Zacs.
Phone has not picked up anything. No welcome message or anything.
Question Author
Yes positive. Been like this for a few years now.
Usual question Caran, have you turned your phone off and on?
Question Author
Yes I have tried that too, turning on and off.
What network is your phone showing on the home screen?
There is of course the possibility that there is no service where you are staying if it's out in the sticks.
In Greece I couldn't phone any mobiles but it let us phone landlines (which wasn't great for the kids as we don't have a landline)
And we did get a welcome to message..
