I understand that if you ring at certain times you usually get an 'English' voice. I struggle to understand the foreign ones. I want to try and get a reduction on my monthly payment.

Don't apologise. Say you have to thinking of leaving as you can no longer afford their charges. They will most probably negotiate with you. Sky always do.

Good luck with that. They are actually helpful but I couldn't understand them.
Usually if you go to the department dealing with accounts you get an English person.
as far as i understand, their call centre is in the uk. However, i always seem to get a northern accent when i ring. If you wish to speak to someone with a particular accent, just give it a try and hang up if it's not the accent you want then try again
Bednobs, the technical dept(or part of it) is in India.
I recall having read on the Net that when you telephone Virgin Media you then get a choice of numbers to press. If then you press the option of 'thinking of leaving' there is an immediate response from a person based in a uk call centre.

Might be worth a try, with an apology for having pressed the wrong button.

Hans.

I heard that too Hans that applied to Sky if you are wanting to leave.

However I can't even hear the English accents either.
Their call centre is in Manila, the Philippines.

Once Virgin customer service was second to none, but recently it's abysmal.
