I have never had my big bannock face made up by professionals. Always managed to make myself beautiful. LOL

However next time I go out I would like the face to be professionally made up. I don't want to look like a clown so would need for the artiste to be good for the old folk's faces. So what should I look for like go to Boots or where should I look.

don't know too many beauticians if any - next time I'm in Boots will query
Well in that case do a Google search for a salon near you. Have a chat with them see if you think they can meet your requirements.
I think Barmaid mean a beauty salon which there will be several in your area, the problem with Boots and Department stores (and they have to be big to offer this service) will usually only do it using the products in their own range. The Boots assistant on the make-up counter will probably only use No 7 products, Clinique, Clarins the same for example.
You are right Prudie. I was trying to point jj at a proper salon rather than a swift "makeover" in store where they are trying to sell certain products.

thanks all.
Go to the beauty school in the square behind Robinson’s
I should say I have had it done there several times and they are good and very reasonable. There is also a woman at comber who is fantastic but she doesn’t come cheap but she did mine for a ball at Christmas
