(Displayed on chyron while I'm watching Hard Talk interview with Egyptian feminist).

I guess the Ayatollah is soliciting European support for his nuclear program as the cost for earning a few euros by post-sanction trade.

Know the details of the "demands"?

I think the Ayatollah's days may be numbered, instead of making demands they should be watching their backs, I like the first post on here;

he's not in a position to demand anything. The septics have them locked right down don't they?
// I guess the Ayatollah is soliciting European support for his nuclear program //

The Europeans have always supported it, so no need to solicit support. The US used to support it, then the administration changed, and now they don’t.

Not really the best message to send to North Korea. The US will sign a deal for you to halt your Nuclear program, and the renege on it and hit you with sanctions in the future.
Good point, Gromit!
Trump is playing a very dangerous game with Iran. In an ideal world the hard liners would simply cave in to White House demands and change their entire foreign policy. Trump, Bolton, Pompeo and co seem to think this will foster a coup against them, but they seems fanciful in the extreme. And even if they did, that would not necessarily be s good thing for the ME. It’s the Sunni Moslems who’ve posted the biggest threat there with ISIS. And much as we all deplore Assad, for the Irsnians simply to withdraw from Syria now would likely lead to an upsurge in the war there. Iran is credibly a malign influence but the Israelis have demonstrated that they can take them out with little or no resistance.
As it is, sanctions will put up oil prices as markets lose Iranian oil again. And while the previous deal was flawed, at least it had the benefit of allowing in inspectors.
And as noted, it won’t instil much confidence in anyone that the USA can be trusted to keep to agreements

I take your point about disturbing the balance of power, Ichkeria.
Didn't work out too well with the Iraq adventure, did it? However, I think the dangerous game is letting the mad mullahs get the bomb, which the Obama deal paved the way for (after the ending of the "sunset provisions" and assuming Iran doesn't cheat).

I think trust in America would have been blown by its complicity in the overthrow of Gaddafi after he had scrapped his own nuclear program. Another example of Western policy which makes no sense except under the assumption that it has been formulated by our enemies.
Trump is highly influenced by Israel over the ME, much more that Obama ever was. So these latest developments are very much in Israel’s interest, not America’s.
Of course Iran is not the only country in the region with a Nuclear programme. Saudi Arabia and Isreal are far more advanced than Iran, but they are quitely left off the hook when discussing non proliferation.
