Can anyone explain to me how you put the curtain track back on to the brackets? My decorator took them down and I have just spent a very frustrating half an hour trying to put them back up.

The brackets have a lever in them that secures the track, once it's up.

I have looked on Youtube but can't find anything which actually shows how to do it.

Any help with this?
I have the instructions that I used many years ago, in front of me, and this is what the instructions say:
6. Installing the track.
Getting help with this stage is a good idea!
Offer the top channel of the track up to the brackets, ensuring that the end brackets fit into the rear of the pulley housings. Lock into place by turning lever F, of all brackets through 90°. The track is now ready for your curtains.
(That is exactly what the leaflet says, Tilly. Best of luck!)
Pull the levers down so that they are all vertical..then push the track onto the lugs at the end of the levers. Do them one at a time.. The lugs engage with the slot in the back of the track.
Lock each bracket by lifting the lever into the horizontal position.

Thank you, BB. It's the 'Offer the top channel of the track up to the brackets' bit that I cannot get.
Every time I raise the track to the brackets, the little lever bits fall out and I have to try again!

I could, at a push, cry. :-)
A little tip .. start in the middle of the track

Alavhalf, the levers keep falling out! I have been up and down the stepladders so many times, retrieving the levers.

There must be a simple way of doing this but I don't know what it is.
Tilly, my apologies for being late at getting back to you. I was called away. The instructions make no mention of the possibility of the levers falling out, so no joy there. Have you put the levers in with the moulded-on crossbar facing outwards? I have moved the levers on my own rail downwards, and I cannot get them to fall out.
Here's a picture of how the lever should look in the bracket. Do your levers/brackets look like this?

Ask the people who put them up to come back and do it again?
Time for me to hit the sack. I'll look in tomorrow.

I managed to fit the tracks after much climbing and cursing and, almost, swearing. I gave up on the shorter one and had a go with the longer one. That went really well. The shorter of the tracks was still a pain. The lever bit would not turn upwards but with a bit of brute force, I managed it.

I am never going to allow my curtain tracks to be removed, every again.
Thank you both for trying to help. x
