I recently had a blood test come back with high Amylase levels, could this high level be attributed to eating lots of foods that contain Amylase or taking digestive supplements containing Amylase.

Or does the body have a way of keeping levels at a normal level regardless of enriched foods or supplements?

Amylase is an enzyme produced in the pancreas for digestion.
A high amylase reading in the blood is invariably due to inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis).
There are other causes, but are extremely rare.
Diet and supplements do not affect the amylase levels.

Thank you for the reply, I was hoping it was down to taking digestive enzymes with meals! :/
