Sidebar - I Love the word snowflake to describe the delicate flowers that roam around us.

Granted we don't know the joke the academic cracked, but if it was of an 'Are you being served' nature, should an academic of a proper subject (or a nonsense subject for that matter) have his career ruined by a snowflake teaching a nonsense subject? (or a proper subject for that matter).

I read about this earlier in The Times and wondered if someone would mention it here.
How ridiculous that woman is. It was a light-hearted 'joke' which might have eased the tension we all feel in a lift.
I really hope he doesn't apologise.
Professor Sharoni needs to get a life. There are more offensive things happening to women than an older males innocent remark.
That wonderful ‘Father Ted’ Christmas episode springs to mind.
Bradley Walsh may yet have to rethink 'old frosty knickers'.

The woman is best ignored. Or shunned.
"Simona Sharoni, a professor of women's and gender studies at Merrimack College in Massachusetts..."

Say no more.

Silly woman.
What a load of old tripe. I would have roared uproariously if I had been in the lift and probably mention Father Ted to boot.

Stupid woman who who's a prime example of snowflakeness that will unfortunately make this man apologise and attend rethink lessons.
//women's and gender studies //

Eh?

That woman needs to sort her head out. For 'Professor' read 'Idiot'.
A lot of fuss about absolutely nothing.
?!?! Sounds like a right lot, getting their panties in a bunch like that.
"Professor Sharoni, 57, and her colleague were too shocked to confront Professor Lebow there and then – but she later reported him"
I'd have a minute droplet of respect of her views if she'd had the conviction to say something at the time. Pathetic headline grabber.

Flowers dont roam - they are static

I think he said it to vex
cracking ( ha!) a joke like that in a San Francisco lift ?
( sorry elevator)

Good bit in ER - Abby tries to enlist a Brit doctor in her harassment suit and Corday says
we brits just dont do this ......

another good bit is where Neela has been jilted (again) and Abby sits on the steps and says as the final line in the episode ' is he a ..... winker?'
Strange that such academics exist. She dwells in a world of imaginary idealism.
/// Professor Lebow, who lists his interests as conflict management ///

She picked on the wrong one here, so refreshing that he refuses to apologise to the silly moo.
She’s getting some stick on Twitter! And some support from other people who should really live on another planet.
Perlease!
