Everything was working ok. Now each time I try to load a video, ie from Youtube, I have a black screen and an almost white 'circle' spinning round and round. But it will not load.

When trying to load a website, a small black dot moves repeatedly left to right but the page will not load.

Any advice please?

Windows 8.1, Firefox.

Click the hamburger (Three lines, top right) > Options > Privacy & Security > Clear All Current History > Check 'Cache' is selected. (Make your own choices about the other stuff) > Check 'Time Range' is set to 'Everything' > Click 'Clear Now' > Close Firefox > Restart your computer > Open Firefox > Try Youtube.

I had a similar problem with Firefox & YouTube some time ago. I fixed it by clearing the browser's cache. (I used Ccleaner to do a really thorough job of it)

Thank you Buenchico for your suggestion. However, I now have download.cnet.com onscreen. Clicked the green download panel and nothing. The dot is still going left to right etc. Maybe something in this laptop that shouldn't be there. Thanks again.

Sorry, should have said when I clicked the green download button it was to install Ccleaner.
