Read Reciept For G-Mail

I want to request read receipts for my e-mails.

The 'help' posts on Google say that you go into the settings tabs, and they show 'Request Read Receipt' - but mine doesn't show it.

Any advice please?

Are you using the webmail or an app?

Personally I don't respond to read receipts.

Previous systems have enabled me to set an automatic 'read receipt' on mails, but my G Mail won't.

If you are using the standard free web email account, you can't. To enable read receipts you have to be using G-Suite.

https://gsuite.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/ covers it. Looks as though it's £3.30 per month per user.

I don't know the details, but one of my daughters has signed up for it so that she can automatically forward emails from her business account to her normal gmail one and reply from her normal one using as though she has responded from the business one. Not sure what else you can do with (well apart from read receipts !) and the lass isn't here at the moment to ask.
