I know. Just how much more can happen in a tiny row of about 10 houses? Arson, multiple murders, burglary, kidnapping, stabbing, Male rape, shock lesbian affairs, and that’s just off the top of my head!
Yes I agree it can be depressing at times but they try and portray what could happen in you were in this situation and how you can cope to help you to get out of it .
Yes, thats why I stopped watching it years ago. I dont call that entertainment.
Bring back Minnie Caldwell and Elsie Tanner I say!
I used to watch it to relax. Life is stressful enough as it is!
I preferred it to Eastenders as there was always humour. Lately though the storylines have become ridiculous and they tend to drag on and on.
I miss Brookside
I stopped watching soaps years ago, Corrie was the last one to fall about fifteen years ago, agree it did have its moments of humour at the time. So I'm not qualified to comment on it today's offerings but glad I stopped when I did.
I miss Brookside too, Hopkirk - and now the lovely Louis Emerick (Mick Johnson) is in Corrie too
What happens on one 'soap' has to happen on them all. So we can expect increasingly bad, depressing , violent scenarios in each of them as they try to out do each other in misery!
It's because of their obsession with wanting to tackle the latest "issues" and tick another box.
Aww poor Aiden ...
shame they are getting rid of aidan ,bring back Ciaran McCarthy (keith duffy )he was a chef I think and could work at the bistro .
As we now know every detail of what's going to happen, we needn't get even more depressed by watching. Wouldn't it have been lovely if Aidan had rode off into the sunset with Eva and the baby. I like happy endings. Life is depressing enough without this kind of storyline.
I agree KUSTARD, when I heard he was leaving I really thought that's what they'd do, but no, let's just have another miserable storyline and be really sensational.
Apoparently the displeasure of Corrie regulars has reached the powers-that-be and the producer responsible for the recent 'graphic' storylines is moving on to other projects, so in about two months or so, there may be a change in approach visible to regulars.

I notice the quotient of dark-haired fair-skinned goddesses has risen from two - Alison King and Kim Marsh, to seven, with Sair Khan, Faye Brooker, Bhavna Limbachia, Julia Golding and Nicola Thorp all increasing my chances of more regular viewing.

so if fair skinned and tanned blonde Donald Trump - you wouild watch 100% of the time ?
