Called to visit friend there - rung her doorbell, rapped the letterbox - she has become a bit deaf and is at the back of the house etc. She won't accept being as deaf as she really is.

But I know she had a bell alert on her coffee table and could hear the doorbell when I called previously.

Anyway phoned her there and she was in the whole time but didn't hear letterbox, bell or whatever.

She said the bell batteries needed replaced too often she couldn't be bothered anymore.

Is there anything I could get for her and also easy enough for me to install. Thanks.

Mamy - I am looking for Murraymints' response to me re the placing of the plug-ins of the bell - could you direct me please and thank you.
Was it on your FAO Maggiebee?

That seems to have gone.
Although I take your point about batteries, I actually chose a system with two units that chime that require batteries because you can take a unit with you into the garden/garage/bathroom etc....and the batteries haven't needed changing in over two years.

///Look here conne..no batteries required///

Look at bottom picture on Left Battery is needed, wouldn't work otherwise.
^^^I took "no batteries" to mean in the receiving units (rather than plug-in to mains type). One small lithium battery is always going to be required in the sender unit (ie bell-push)....unless one takes the backward step of having a power supply hard-wired to the bell-push...rather last century, methinks.
the plug-in would be best in sitting room in plain sight where sis could see the ringer light up as well as sound
