I know that we all have different tastes but surely no one could find this last episode funny and yet some people will say I like it ,personally I think they are scraping the bottom of the barrel time for it to go
All the new characters are simply awful not one funny person amongst them . Gone from being very funny to almost total unfunny rubbish. One thing is there will never be another series
I worked as a rep at the hotel Benidorm is filmed at in the early 80s. As you say the earlier episodes were more credible but some of the characters from the earlier episodes take me back!
There could be another series - it's not being filmed next year because there is a live touring show around the UK, but the writer is planning on another series for tv.
mallyh, my favourite ever sitcom is currently on tv, Still Game, BBC1.
I'm also enjoying the new Idris Elba sitcom InThe Long Run, Sky One.
Living the Dream, starring Phil Glenister, has ended but worth seeing if you can find it on catch up (Sky One).
I agree that Two Doors Down is well worth watching.
Fear not it ends for ever and ever this week. I find it anti-gay, anti-coloureds, racist, sneering, nasty, spiteful, kind of 'oh look at Johnny Foreigner isn't he funny cos he ain't Ingerlish. And also twisted and sick. It seems pro-fascist and thoroughly worthless. Every actor in it should hang their head in shame.
It sneers at the British, too, dance2trance, some of the most obnoxious characters in it are English. Thinking about it, Mateo is the only 'foreign' character in the series and is probably the most 'normal' of the lot.
It is a caricature of 'Brits abroad' without the punch ups, don't you think?
It is hardly anti gay - the creator and writer is a gay man.
