I find soccer fairy dull but I don't think they should flog the stadium off and surely it's worth more than half a billion. TBH though NFL is a much better game so I wouldn't be too distraught.
Definitely should not be sold

I'm not particularly a football fan but hate the thought it's going to sold. It's iconic. What next? Wimbledon? Lords?

Sell it to the Chinese or the t******s as they are colloquially known darn sarf. (^_*)

Virtually iconic then, held dear in English hearts as the site of triumph and disaster alike for decades.
Gladiatorial battles between men of, apparently, great talent and a very dodgy idea of what constitutes a good haircut along with a complete disregard for the rules on their side but a penchant for bleating like sheep in a slaughterhouse when opponents try the same.
for just over 1 decade.......
Question Author
It doesn't have to be old to be iconic.
