//A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: 'An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of the disturbance and it is still in the very early stages.//

Disgusting
what has it become? From a nation that used to stage bear-baiting and cockfighting and still requires horses to jump fences?

You may be overreacting here. Cruelty is still cruelty and hopefully will be punished; but it doesn't mean your whole country is going down the pan.
nice jno, have you found a sincere bone yet?

Disgusting savages. I'd have let them climb up and then knocked down onto their gutless savage back sides. Scum.

I would not expect any other answer than that from you jno. You never disappoint.

Danny, I said where WERE Plod, not where ARE Plod.
Excuse me, but I thought that with the abolition of corporal punishment for children back in the 80's ( i think) the idea was that it would produce a less violent society.
40 years on, I have seen no evidence of this.

Disgusting......but i am not surprised...
Truly despicable, they need catching very quickly.
I'm speechless :-(

Evil, evil savages.
Animal cruelty is not new....at least now many forms of it are illegal. Did you know that when the London zoo opened, you could pay for admission by taking a live cat or dog for the big cats to eat? https://www.thevintagenews.com/2016/09/03/priority-18th-century-pay-admission-zoo-london-bringing-cat-dog-feed-lions/
YMB. Do you expect that a policeman is near where every crime is committed?
let me see, I'm the one who says Britain isn't going down the pan, so I'm the anti-British one? lol
Question Author
No one has accused you of being anti British on this thread have they?
Question Author
No Danny I dont.

In this case maybe it was because they were not called?

Just seems odd that with elongated issue they were not around.
you only have to call me anti-British once to make me aware of what you believe, ymb. But I still think the country's not as bad as you seem to think it is. Fancy that!
Dear God !!! Poor, poor lovely dog. RIP sweetheart xxx
I feel very, very sick.
Sadly, I don't recognise people 'en masse' any more. Yesterday ended up with family at the York 'Outlet' shopping mall. It was a horrible experience - so many people glued to phones, if they weren't they didn't acknowledge you. If they were walking in your way they didn't dodge - no-one acknowledged your presence. No eye contact, no smiles. What the heck has happened to this country?

Here (E. Riding) a pavement-dodging scene would involve a few smiles and quick words; people acknowledge when you giveway. If 'civilised' York is the pattern of city living then be very, very afraid. Civilisation appears to be dying.

That poor, poor dog.

Such a large group playing up atrociously one doesn't comprehend why the fuzz wasn't called ages before it got out of hand. Were they on drugs or something similar ?
