Very sad news.

I hope his family will, in time, gather some comfort knowing that his just-giving campaign has increased.

Of course 40-odd thousand ran the London marathon in the heat, I am quite sure many not in the peak of fitness, and... didn't die.
Tragedies like this are very much the exception.
