Do I need to get a re-test on my electrics and a new certificate if I fitted new sockets in my kitchen. I am not an electrician.

You need to get it confirmed it was still according to the regs.

There again, who's to know you added sockets ? You will be responsible for any consequences though.

Ah, so did your new sockets require a new circuit ?
Old Geezer has it. Assuming no new circuit was installed, adding sockets in a kitchen is no longer notifiable.

The onus is simply on you to be sure everything is kosher.
