So that I don't appear more daft than I am already, what is the app store?...is it an actual place or what. I know that app is short for application - or I think so - but "download it from the app store" makes me think that it's an actual place...is it? - this is an extension to my earlier thread about Microsoft. Ta Very Muchly.

An App store is an internet server that electronically sells Apps.

Doubt very much that you will find many App stores you can walk into.

The app store is virtual, you can't walk in, it's like when you have to copy to clipboard, there is no clip board, it's all software and downloaded, some apps have to be paid for, games and the like others are free

Many Thanks guys for your swift replies, now I'm a bit more wiser and not to be thought to be a miser, I can go and do some app shopping - hopefully!

There will be a little icon under the app you want will let you know if it is free or costs something, my apps are free but if you're buying music or games from the app store it could cost you or wallpapers, just be sure you know if it's free or whatever, enjoy woodelf, I hope you customise your computer, smartphone to the way you like it
