Hi green fingered ABers .... Thank goodness we've now pruned the roses and hydrangeas (I almost thought it was going to be full blown summer before the weather would allow us out in the garden!). Just wondering, though, when should I be planting some seeds - I've got sunflowers and warty gourds. Would be grateful for some advice, please, folks ... cheers, Chox.

Not now anyway! We have young lettuce plants ready to go out, cloche has been coving soil to warm it up for a week now and we daren't risk it. I think that any seeds planted right now would rot with cold and wet. I'm waiting a bit, things usually catch up.
you could go and join in the thyme to garden thread here

Hi Chokkie. I have seeds and pods already sprouting indoors ready to go out. As Woof says, have a look through the threads posted by Ed at the beginning of every month.

Thanks folks - no, I will definitely not plant them yet - I'm afraid I'm a very very lazy gardener, the seeds will go straight in to containers when it eventually stops raining! (and gets consistently "warmer"). Thanks for all your help, cheers, Chox
