not to mention the diddymen were there too looking on at one of the last great comedians.
I loved him, saw him many, many times with Mum and Dad. Grew up with him really. Glad he had a good turn out.
I never liked him much, but I imagine he'd have thought that funeral a hoot.
Question Author
i bet he would, you have to have seen him do his stand up routine, it was hilarious, long and not to be forgotten
I did.
We'll deserved.
People had great love and respect for dear Ken. He made a lot of people laugh. He will be missed my a great many I'm sure.
I never saw him except on television.
I loved the Beatles statues with the tickling sticks.
Personally he never appealed to me but for his family and friends must have taken solace from the turn out.
Question Author
his tv shows and live shows were markedly different, for one thing he could go on for hours, and you can't do that on tv.
Well said Patsy.
I was reading about him the other day. The article said that his live shows went on for hours after they should have finished. He must have really loved performing.
His type of comedy is what made me laugh - none of this modern swearing explicit sexual language stuff - but hey each to their own
They said on the BBC News Channel tat the funeral service overran by about half an hour - very appropriate.
You surely had value for your money , naomi
Saw Ken live many times and his shows always overran; great value for money. Came out of a theatre in Llandudno with sore sides from laughing. Will miss him.
I laughed so much at his continuous jokes that I could barely catch my breath, he just never gave up. I hope he's making my Mum and Dad laugh again now.
