Is it time the ubiquitous black trouser suit was dumped?
They're fine when new but tend to be worn to the death, unpressed and with the bottoms of the trousers all chewed and manky. The shapeless flat shoes often worn with them don't help.

Thankfully, I don't have to wear a suit for my job.
There are lots of magazine articles about how to dress stylishly 'In the Office'. Most of them are a bit OTT unless you work in a fashion department. Even so, you could still buy a new pair of shoes and black trousers.

Where have you seen these women in manky trousers and shapeless shoes?
In the food bank?
Rob, if you want to save your trouser bottoms I recommend heels. Nothing too daring, just enough to keep your trews out of the mire.
Rip the knees of your kecks.
The height of fashion!
I wonder if there's a specialist shop for female newsreaders to buy their dresses ;) They all seem to wear the same style; close-fitting, knee length, mid upper arm length sleeves.
Yes. No jumpers from Primark.
Is that a 'Yes' on the front and a 'No' on the back?
Well spotted
I like polka dots and I don't dance well.

They're particularly noticeable in Hospitals and Health Centres, shuffling along corridors with armfuls of files.
Low pay to blame maybe?
Does Women's Work Fashion wear out more quickly than men's Work Fashion then ?

Why don't they all just wear bunny girl outfits ? That'd raise morale.
They do not dress like this from choice do they? Got to be low pay.
