We went to Husband's cousin's house last night for a "couple of civilised drinks" and a takeaway. Well, did you ever meet such a lush!

Her husband was pouring our prosecco into large wine glasses with a double gin mixed in. It was morally improper, of course, but their house, their rules so I had to go along with it...
Bet the babe was soon asleep after taking some of that in!
Sounds good to me! I love Prosecco

He's on the bottle now, DT. Just as well...
Gripe water, it's called gripe water - even though they have cut the ethanol back in that quite considerably!
(I mean the gin of course......)
well...I am not one for gossip..but..see her over the road...well....
Gripe water. That takes me back. Nurse Dinneford's gripe water. When I was about four I snaffled my baby brother's bottle and drank the lot. My mother found me rolling on the floor hopelessly drunk.

And you've never looked back since, JD...
Not juicy but made us smile.....

Dave was in charge of the door at last night's celebration concert...selling tickets and welcoming the honoured guests and directing them to their complimentary reserved seats......

It's a pity Dave didn't recognise our MP.......he charged him for a ticket and sent him to join the queue into the hall......

Pity too that I didn't have a camera to record Dave's face when the chairman introduced the MP and he stood up to take a bow... :-)

Make sure you never let him live that down, gness :-)
Gripe water......Nurse Dinneford....Dave charging the "honored guest".........boy! oh boy!.............can't compete with those for juicy gossip.
It's not my fault that he's an anonymous looking man who paid up quite cheerfully when confronted by "A Big Dave with a Badge" ... :)

Quite so sqadlet - I was hoping for the ins and outs (ahem) of some illicit liaisons - can you help us out?
Not gossip, but the gripe water incident reminded me of when I made my baby sister drink a whole bottle of cough medicine. I confessed to what I'd done so we went to hospital, with my dad driving over bumps fast to try to get her to be sick, but it only made me sick. She was fine in the end.

I'm sure you could tell us some juicy tales, Sqad...
Sqad's gone quiet....think he's lying back with a little smile and going down memory lane.... ;-)

//Dave didn't recognise our MP.......he charged him for a ticket //
no worries, it will be on next month's expenses ...
Talking of not recognising someone, somebody came to our door canvasing. This was some years ago in London, I didn't realise who it was until he had gone. Then OH told me it was Ken Livingstone, fancy not knowing him.
Clover

//She was fine in the end.//

Which end?
