I've done an old "Paul" crossword from the Guardian.
One of the clue's is:-
Poet's written about "The Ring",keeping Rex and Rex together? (6,4)
The answer is "toilet roll"
Can anybody tell me how that works?

I think the poet is possibly Eliot, but can't see the rest
Eliot(poet) reversed + r(rex) inside toll(ring)
Question Author
Yes,now I see Eliot, And I can see the ring=toll and r=Rex but still can't see the other Rex. But thanks for Eliot.
Eliot (reversed) + R(ex) "inside" toll (ring) = "andrex" + toilet roll
Question Author
Andrex!!!!! Doh! Thanks. So clever.
