"Courts and police would be given extra powers to ensure bullies stay away from partners and family members they are accused of tormenting, even if there is not enough evidence to charge them."

Now dont get me wrong I am totally against domestic abuse nd I get the removal from the home when kids are about but this seems to be a real and dangerous move to change from innocent until proven guilty to your guilty whatever because we say so. The Stasi would be proud.

Surely all this will also be open to abuse?

QM, I call him COB. That was the name the agent says was given to him when he met him, I dont think that is disputed. I dont believe I have ever said he took payment or handed secrets over and in fact I'm pretty sure that I was against the Tory MP who did.

I completely see your point, it sounds like a great idea at first, but then it could easily be abused.
I wondered about the MPs voluntaryu payment to a charity having wrongly accused Corbo ( I call him corbo because it is related to Corbyn) of having taken payment.

I thought the words of an MP were privileged - but ho hum it must've been out of the chamber.

Aitken MP did VERY badly after suing for libel ( needed a law change) - he did time for perjury

sozza a bit off point
