What did people think of this new series? I watched the first one yesterday hoping I wouldn't like it because I don't do "afternoon TV" but I was totally enthralled with it. At last something to watch that isn't dark and miserable plus a beginning, a middle and an end. Series set to record now and hope the other episodes are as refreshingly amusing!!!

I love these BBC afternoon dramas, they really are a treat.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Proper beginning, middle and end in the right order, no fancy pants camera work, no mumbling and great fun.

You should check out repeats of other afternoon dramas especially Father Brown and WPC 56.
Afternoon TV is fab. I love Father Brown and I really enjoyed Missing when it was on. I never got to see WPC56, unfortunately.
I always record everything I watch then I can choose my time to watch them. Haven't watched it yet but thanks for the report.
I'm really enjoying it, i wish i knew more shakespeare so i could pick up on more of the references, i'm only getting the well known ones.
We struggled with the first episode then gave up about 15 mins into the second episode and cancelled our recorder.
I was put off by the title. I thought 'Rosemary and Thyme' was bad enough, but 'Shakespeare and Hathaway'? What are the chances of that combination coming together?
It had to be that, Jo....with Sebastian working with them too...I'm enjoying it very much so far.........x
