Could be wrong but I think in rugby they do the opposite i.e. the home team change their strip when there is a clash of similar colours, as opposed to football where the away team generally does.

ok, that makes sense then, thanks chill
they used to do it in soccer too, in days of old if a visiting team clashed then often they did not have another kit but the home team are, well, at home, so they can get another kit out.
