Books set in Goa

Hi, my boyfriend is going on holiday to Goa and as well as a guidebook I want to buy him a good book or collection of short stories set in Goa, or a book about someone travelling in Goa.
Any suggestions?

Your bf might be interested in a book about a WWII action that was carried out by British civilian volunteers against German ships in Goa harbour. The story reads like an incredible 'ripping yarn' from a boys adventure comic, but is actually totally true.
The book is 'Boarding Party', and copies (mostly second-hand now) are still available. Have a look here
