Have just clicked on the Norton icon on my desktop and it shows 'your computer is at risk and needs to be checked for viruses - scan now'. I don't trust anything these days - is this genuine? It all seems to have been going well for the last few months since it was renewed. If it does need to be done, what might have changed to make it necessary?

Have tried to run a scan three times; each time it comes up with 'fix not complete'. What is happening?

I thought it might be because the internet access had been interrupted, but I watched the signal through the third attempted scan and (for once!) it didn't fail. Cannot run a full scan either. I'm seriously worried about the security of my PC. What should I do?

Decided on a live chat session with Norton. Totally brilliant - it took 55 minutes (thanks to three breaks in internet access) but now fixed.
