The Scottish National team are a lost cause. No decent players to choose from to form a credible team capable of qualifying for a major tournament. I gave up watching them years ago, too painful.
It doesn't matter who the Manager, it's still the same glorious failures at the final hurdle. There's only so many ways you can polish a turd.

TBH most international teams would struggle to compete in the what I call division 2 these days. The top club sides are far better. We take the sipp out of Scotland but I can't remember the last Time England weren't a disappointment.

We need to start getting the players to believe that they can win tournaments and not just believe that qualifying is acceptable and that's the mentality that needs to change.
The whole Scottish football setup needs to be overhauled from top to bottom. If they get rid of the SFA & SPLF dinosaurs and blazers then Scotland might have a chance of being half decent within the next decade if they nurture the youth football teams and encourage the young talent coming through. The current setup is based around nepotism which is failing the game at both club and national level.
I'm going for a lie down now. Hee hee.

yeah i was thinking; and when he coaches the national youth team they now have to wear boxing gloves.....or a strait jacket.
