You don't.
The answers stay as they may be useful to someone later....
You can't remove any posts, they are permanent. To respond just post a message on the same thread.
You can't...just reply on your thread
Sorry....
You simply post on your original thread.
You can't remove your question (well there are methods to get it removed but I would recommend any of them)
By the way.....
You seemed to know how to use the site when you joined in 2011.
You buy a round. All new members are required to do that.
You have posted 3 replies according to your profile.
YOU could always ask Naomi or Desk Diary, they are quite used to getting Answers Removed.
Naomi can't remove answers. Stop being paranoid.

answer removed means answer archived
not erased
so it is THERE somewhere

wait and the question will move far far down the queue into well desserved oblivion

and dont check - andwhere in oblivion it is ever
as that moves it up ( as it has been accessed )

and some quite surprising things - in the age of the internet have no detectable presence at all
( Nigerian peace keepers running girlie rings and peace keepers trading heroin in serbo-croatia spring to mind)

I was gonna say Madame Claustre the archeologist who kept in the desert by ee-sa - arbre for YEARS! is no there either - but she is

eyah hissan habre but it was chad so you say eet with a French accent
bet you wish you hadn't asked now....
To try to summarise the above:

The 'Bank' part of this site's name is there because the site is designed to create a searchable database of information. (If it didn't, new members probably wouldn't find the site anyway). So, other than in exceptional circumstances, all threads remain here forever.

[The 'exceptional circumstances' I've referred to above might occur, for example, when someone realises that they've revealed some personal information that they've rather not have left online for ever. In such circumstances the Editor might consider removing a thread if the member sends an email requesting it. Occasionally a moderator might also remove a thread for similar reasons].

Most people who've contributed answers here keep an eye on the relevant threads to see if the questioner wishes to seek any further information or advice. So posting a 'reply' to your own question is likely to get your response seen by someone who has already answered.

There's also the 'Mark As Best Answer' facility, which enables you to let someone know that you've helped them. (They'll see that you've awarded the 'Best Answer' when they visit the thread or when they check on their own profile).
If you feel that you could be asking a question which you may then require removing, then don't ask it.

Hans.
