Giving someone Prime membership as a present - has anyone managed to do this? - I can only see it on the US site not ours. What if I got them an Amazon Gift card, could that be used to buy Prime??

I suppose prime could be given as a gift, but given that it is a recurring purchase and that you have to supply payment details for yearly renewal (you can cancel obviously, but you still need details up front), I doubt it.

A gift card would present the same problem I should think.
Apparently you can...

"Thankfully there is, although you won't be able to pay or renew your Prime membership directly and automatically but you can actually use your Amazon.com Gift Card Balance to purchase the Gift of Prime, redeem it yourself and enjoy it as your own Prime Gift Membership."
No, sorry, that is USA, you can't do it in UK.
