Rhubarb seeds

Hello, I have loads of seeds from the rhubarb in my garden. Does anyone know whether I can just plant these to grow more rhubarb? If so, is there anything I should know about how to do this (how many seeds, how far apart, etc.)?

Forget it. Dig up a bit of the spongy root and shove it in the ground where you want it to be. It's almost impossble to kill off. Even a teensy piece will grow on. Sowing from seed is not recommended, and the seed/flower stalks should be cut out as soon as they appear - otherwise they take up a lot of the plant's energy that would otherwise be producing more leaves.
